Student of the MonthIn order to recognize achievement, outstanding progress, and responsible behavior in our student body, grade-level teams made up of teachers select one Kimball Area High School student in each grade to be recognized as the Student of the Month.  The monthly winners will be recognized in school, on the school website, and in the Tri-County News.  They will also receive a Subway gift certificate and Chamber Bucks from the Kimball Area Chamber of Commerce.  Special thanks to Luxemburg’s Subway and the Kimball Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring this program.

For the Month of May 2014:

Zack Schiefelbein: 7th Grader

Zack Schiefelbein was selected as student of the month because of his work ethic and diligence.  Zack completes all of his work and never complains about the length of an assignment or the content.  He is willing to ask for help and occasionally checks with teachers to make sure he is doing the assignment correctly.  His mellow demeanor is appreciated amongst the often chaotic environment of junior high school.

Trinity Erickson: 8th Grader

The 8th grade teachers are proud to announce that Trinity Erickson is the 2014 May student of the month.   Trinity is an attentive student with a positive attitude and a great work ethic.  She is a responsible and detail-oriented individual that is curious and inquisitive.  Regardless of the subject matter, Trinity is always engaged and ready to learn.  Above all, her eagerness to learn makes her an outstanding choice for student of the month.

Austin Host: Freshman

Austin Host has been selected because of his work ethic, great attitude and devotion to academics.  He continuously strives to do her best in all classes and has been able to show respect for himself, her classmates and staff.  He works very hard at preparing for academics and is very polite when asking questions or for extra help.

Krista Hendrickson: Sophomore

Krista is a student who leads by example. She is helpful and works very well with everyone. She is independent and responsible for herself. Most of all, her greatest quality is her ability to be a strong silent leader in class. She also has a great sense of style.

Krista Anderson: Junior

Krista Anderson has been nominated for the junior class' student of the month.  Krista has been driven and dedicated all year long. She is responsible, conscientious, and reliable with her academic and extra-curricular assignments and projects.  She radiates a positive energy that is contagious and demonstrates a maturity her teachers appreciate.  Krista stepped forward as a leader in classroom activities and motivated those collaborating with her to work harder. These qualities not only make her an asset to any classroom, but they will also be what colleges look for in their prospective students and employers look for in their future employees.  Kudos to you for a job well done, Krista.

Jenna Anderson: Senior

Jenna made the most of her senior year, and her teachers are not going to soon forget the impact she made at Kimball Area High School.  From her focus and determination in the classes that challenged her to her performance in the arts classes she longed to take, Jenna could be counted on to do her best.  She was genuinely engaged in her learning, soaking every bit of knowledge from her teachers and her fellow classmates.  She was responsible for the creation of the senior class slideshow, a highlight of every graduation.  Finally, Jenna not only took care of her own work, she also pushed her fellow classmates to finish strong.  Congratulation Jenna!  We hope life holds great things for you; we know you will pursue your opportunities to the fullest and make the most of every moment.
