Welcome to Kimball Area High School! Home of the Cubs

The mission of Kimball Area Public Schools , the unifying force in a progressive rural community, is to empower students to achieve life-long successthrough an educational system characterized by caring and committed staff, involved parents, personalized educational experiences, and extraordinary facilities---all in a safe, nurturing environment.

Kimball Area High School is a vibrant, student-centered, comprehensive high school located in Kimball, Minnesota. Our student body consists of 330 students, grades 7-12. Kimball Area High School’s talented staff delivers a challenging academic program as well as numerous extra- curricular and co-curricular activities.

Kimball Area High School operates on a seven period day and employs a state approved 7-12 curriculum led by eleven departments. We offer a comprehensive 7th and 8th grade program consisting of skill building in the areas of: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. In addition to the core curriculum, students in grades 7 and 8 also receive instruction in elective areas of study such as Art, Band, Family and Consumer Science, Agriculture Education/Industrial Technology, etc.

Students in grades 9-12 have 75 different course choices and must attain 23.5 credits over their four years to graduate. Beyond our standard high school courses, Kimball Area High School students have the opportunity to earn concurrent or articulated college credit in academic areas such as: English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Business, Industrial Technology, and Family and Consumer Science.

Beyond the academics and activities, KAHS offers a solid support service program consisting of a Guidance Counselor, Chemical Health Counselor, and Mental Health Practitioner. In addition to these services, students requiring credit recovery have the opportunity to take part in KAHS’s night school program offered by Kimball Area High School staff.

Here at Kimball Area High School it is our goal to establish positive relationships which create a climate and environment conducive to educational growth. We expect our students to foster these ideals by demonstrating honesty, integrity, trust, and respect. KAHS is a place where the learning never stops. We are committed to providing the best education possible to the leaders of tomorrow.
