The Kimball Area Public School District’s outdoor facilities are accessible to the public as of June 15.
The district supports a “Sandlot approach” for our youth activities. The outdoor facilities will be available in the afternoons and evenings on a first-come, first-served basis. The district expects those using the facilities to follow current Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance for social distancing in youth sports. Currently, that guidance requires a 1:9 ratio in pods for gatherings on the district’s outdoor facilities and grounds.
Use of district facilities is at your own risk. The district will not be cleaning outdoor facilities during the summer months, nor monitoring for compliance with applicable guidelines. Choosing to use district facilities constitutes a waiver of liability against the district for any harm resulting from such use.
Access to indoor facilities will remain closed until at least July 6. As health and safety guidelines related to COVID-19 continue to progress into the summer months, the district office will provide further information about access to indoor facilities after July 6.
Until further notice, the district facilities are closed to external facility rental agreements.
