REGISTER ONLINE HERE - In this "Beginners Course" of T'ai Chi, Bev Gustafson will teach you the ancient Chinese art of T’ai Chi to improve your health and stamina. You will start by doing the first 1/3 of the long form of the Yang Cheng Fu system of T’ai Chi. This solo exercise can be practiced anywhere and has multiple benefits for the practitioner.
You can increase your concentration and coordination, decrease your muscle tension, improve your muscle flexibility and strength, gain better circulation, and achieve better balance. The slow, gentle movements of T’ai Chi and its related deep breathing motions have been shown to reduce the effects of stress and lower blood pressure as well.
Be sure to wear loose comfortable clothing. We will practice barefoot or with stockings that don’t slip on the floor.
**Returning participants from the 2020 Winter Session have a discounted rate of $35 - bring a check or cash to first class on August 4, payable to Kimball Community Education.
A DVD will be available at a cost of $17.00 for those who wish to use as a reference for their home practice payable to St Cloud Karate & Tai Chi Instruction will be collected at the class meeting.
