Dear Families,

Due to the overwhelming response we have received regarding COVID-19 emergency child care, we have needed to implement some guidelines to ensure we are serving families with the highest need and able to follow the Center for Disease Control’s and Minnesota Department of Health’s guidelines for social distancing, in order to keep all students and staff safe. We have a limited capacity to provide this care and ask families to respectfully follow the guidelines we set forth:

At this time, we are implementing these guidelines (effective Monday, March 23, 2020):

1.) We will prioritize care for Tier I Essential Emergency Workers only.

2.) If you have alternative care, are able to work from home or have another parent at home, have older siblings who can care for younger children, you will not qualify for emergency care.

All requests for emergency care will now be screened by our Elementary School Age Child Care Coordinator, Holly Guerin and requests need to go through her office (320) 398 – 7700 ext. 2555 or e-mail: holly.guerin@kimball.k12.mn.us

Only approved families may access this care. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but for safety reasons, to maintain student to staff ratios, and social distancing guidelines required by the Dept. of Health we must put these measures in place.

Mission Statement

At Kimball Cubs Club, we believe in the value and uniqueness of each child we serve. Our childcare experience is designed to promote each child’s own individual social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

As caregivers and educators, our mission is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment, which fosters a child’s natural desire to explore, discover, create, and become a lifelong learner.

Our program is a quality school age care enrichment program offered to meet the needs of parents/guardians in the Kimball Area School District. Cubs Club provides a professional care for preschool and elementary age children through 5th grade before and after school as well as selected non-school days. We are open Monday through Friday in the summer from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Cubs Club fees are based on an hourly rate of $2.95 per hour for 1st child; $2.85 per hour for additional children.

**Special rates available for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Check with Holly Guerin at cubs.club@kimball.k12.mn.us for more information.
