Bill was a 3-season participant and coached 4 sports at KHS. Bill graduated in 1965. While in high school at KHS was 2-year starter in basketball and baseball. In the fall, he was a football statistician. He was a charter member of the KHS National Honor Society.

He started his teaching/coaching career in 1969 through 1980. He than operated the bowling alley in Kimball until he began teaching for a second time at KHS in 1994 through May 2013. As a coach at KHS, he coached golf (6 years), baseball (10 years), and boys basketball (14 years), girls basketball (5 years). Bill also has officiated over 350 games in football, basketball, baseball and softball. He also has kept the football scoreboard for the past 6 years and is helping again this season.

Bill retired from teaching at KHS this past spring. Bill is a charter member of Maine Prairie Ducks Unlimited. He has been a scoutmaster of Troop 357 for over 30 years. Bill has been active in the community in the Kimball Lions and Kimball Gun-Rifle Club. Bill has been an avid bowler for nearly forty years, retired member of Kimball Fire Department. Bill also was the President of the Kimball Golf Club for 10 years. He is a fisherman and hunter. Bill and Barb’s three sons, Sean, Jesse and Chris are KHS graduates and all have engineering degrees.
