Jerry Hokkanen
Class of 1961
Jerry graduated from Kimball in 1961. He participated in football, basketball, track, and baseball. Jerry’s senior year they won the conference in football, basketball and baseball. After graduating from Kimball Jerry attended Augsburg college and played basketball and baseball in college. Jerry was a captain on the baseball team at Augsburg. Little known fact is Mr Hokkanen had signed a teaching contract in 1966, to teach and coach basketball at Kimball high school, but subsequent to that he was drafted and had to cancel. Jerry joined the Air Force out of college and was a pilot in the Vietnam war. Jerry was a fighter pilot for 30 years and retired as a colonel in 1997.Jerry resides in San Antonio Texas with his wife Vicki. They have been married 52 years and have 1 daughter, Jami.
