Melanie (Marquardt) Knaus
Class of 2004

Melanie (Marquardt) Knaus graduated from Kimball in 2004. She played volleyball and basketball. Melanie excelled at the sport of basketball while attending Kimball. She was a 5 time letter winner for the girls basketball team. She holds the school record for most career points for boys and girls basketball players with 1820 points. She holds a state record for the steals in a single season 203 and has 590 career steals as the Kimball record. Melanie was a two time all state honorable mention. Kimball girls went to state in 2003, Melanie’s Junior year. This is the only year our girl’s basketball team has been to the state tournament. Melanie went on and played for the University of Wisconsin River falls after graduating from Kimball. Melanie lives in Kimball with her husband Andy and their two daughters Millie and Maggie.
