Kimball Robotics

Kimball Robotics is excited to host its 8th Annual Super Mega Tournament on Jan. 27 at the Kimball Area High School. The Cubs have 128 teams registered in grades 4-12 for this special event, which makes it the largest single-day robotics event in the state of Minnesota during the school year.

"Robotics competitions are managed and run 100% by volunteers," said Kimball's varsity robotics coach, Kevin Kieke. "Without volunteers, there are no robotics competitions. We need roughly 100 volunteers to run a successful event and we are still looking for 30 or more volunteers for the Jan. 27 event in Kimball."

No experience is needed to volunteer for a robotics event. These events are free and open to the public. Community members who are interested in helping at the upcoming event should contact Kevin Kieke (kevin.kieke@kimball.k12.mn.us) or Mike Kunkel (kimball.roboticcoaches@kimball.k12.mn.us).

This large competition will feature High School and Middle School EDR matches along with Elementary and Middle School IQ matches.  The EDR Vex program will be in the Wirth Gym and  the IQ Vex competitions will take place in the Cafetorium.
