The 2024 Minnesota State Robotics Championships were hosted over a three-day event on Feb. 29-March 2 at the St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center. This special event allows elementary through high school aged robotics students a chance to compete and earn a trip to the upcoming World’s competition in May.

This year there were 96 elementary and middle school teams competing with an average of four students per team. Kimball teams earned two of the four Sportsmanship Awards by displaying superior sportsmanship at State.

Kimball’s elementary squad, Team 55353B The Super Blue Boys, and Kimball’s middle school team, 739D The Fox Bots, earned this impressive award in their respective age groups.

“This is an awesome recognition for the students and the town of Kimball,” said head coach Kevin Kieke. “These awards are a true reflection of how great our robotics students and program are.”
