Kimball Area Youth Basketball program is an opportunity for boys and girls in grades 4-6 who wish to play competitive traveling basketball. This program will give players the opportunity to work on their individual basketball skills and also learn team concepts.
This program REQUIRES parent volunteer coaches and involvement in support of their team, Kimball Area Community Education and the Kimball Sports Boosters; please specify your interest in coaching at the time of registration.
- PARENT NIGHT scheduled for Monday, Nov. 6, from 6-8:00 pm. Uniforms will be handed out and rules will be covered. Plan for a possible light practice afterwards in the high school gyms for both boys and girls.
· Practices will run on Mondays and Thursdays (6:30-8 pm), starting Nov. 6 through the end of February.
· Team practices are held twice a week at various locations: Wirth Gym, North Gym, or Elementary Gym.
· The Highway 55 League has returned for local competition this winter season.
· Kimball is hosting our Kimball Bear Claw Basketball Classic Tournament on Jan. 6 & 7, 2024.
· Kimball is hosting our Highway 55 League playdate on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024.
· Parent volunteers will be needed at both the Highway 55 League playdate and our Bear Claw Tournament.
· Additional tournaments will vary by age level.
· It is the responsibility of the parent to transport their child to/from all games and practices.
· Uniforms and practice jerseys are provided and will need to be returned at the end of the season.
· A shooting shirt will be provided for all participants to keep, please update your child's shirt size at time of registration.
· Practice and game schedules will be emailed to families once the teams & coaches are finalized.
