At their 10-year class reunion, the graduating class of 1976 voted to initiate the Jim Asfeld School Advocate Award. This award is given each year in memory of their classmate who died shortly after graduation from a brain tumor and is awarded to a senior student who unselfishly supports school programs and activities and displays good school citizenship.
This year, the Jim Asfeld Award is given to Zach Kourima. He received the award at the school-wide awards program on May 22 with a roar of applause from the student body. Congratulations, Zach!
