Kimball Area Public Schools is seeking applicants for a full-time High School Principal Secretary/MARSS Coordinator. This position is part of the Education Support Professionals agreement and is a year-round position. The salary range is $18.76 - $25.48 per hour based on experience. Benefits offered are Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, Sick Leave, Personal Leave, Vacation Leave, 403(b) and twelve paid holidays. A typical work schedule is Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm. The position starts August 1, 2026 and is open due to a retirement. For the first year, the employee will work alongside the outgoing coordinator to learn the essential duties.
The High School Principal Secretary/MARSS Coordinator performs district-wide support for MARSS functions as well as assisting the High School office. This position is executed with significant detail, attention to accuracy and precision while requiring discretion and confidentiality. Work is performed under the supervision of the High School Principal.
Essential Duties
• Manage annual JMC Student Information System
• Maintain accurate student and staff records in JMC, ensuring data integrity across current and future school years.
• Coordinate new student enrollment and withdrawal processes, including demographic entry, records requests, MARSS coding, transportation coordination, and cumulative file management.
• Serve as MARSS Coordinator, responsible for accurate data collection, entry, reporting, and submission to the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) through EDIAM/ED-FI.
• Ensure compliance with MARSS reporting requirements that directly impact district funding, maintaining ongoing communication with counselors, principals, special education, and program staff.
• Maintain student transcripts, graduation records, archival files, and GED documentation in accordance with state retention requirements. • Provide backup support for front desk operations, including reception duties and substitute coordination as needed.
• Serve as medical support backup to the High School Nurse Aide, completing required training such as CPR, First Aid, medication administration, and student-specific medical protocols. The
