2026-2027 Director of Community Education

Kimball Area Public Schools is seeking a Director of Community Education who has the vision and expertise to provide leadership and direct the Community Education department.

Qualified candidates need a degree in education, community development, or other related field with a current Community Education Director license or the ability to obtain one. The salary range is $70,000 - $75,000 based on education and experience. Benefits offered are Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, Dental and Health Insurance; 403(b) Match and Paid Time Off. This position is 240 days per year with an approximate schedule of Monday – Friday 8 hours per day.

The Director of Community Education identifies community needs by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating a balanced program for all segments of the community; early childhood, youth, adult, and senior citizens. This position provides leadership and oversight for all Community Education Programs including Adult Basic Education, School Age Care, Drivers Education, Adult Continuing Education, Recreation, Early Childhood Family Education, School Readiness, Early Childhood Screening, Summer Programming, Community use of School Facilities, and other related Community Education services.

Kimball Area Public Schools is a 25-minute drive south of St. Cloud, MN and 1 hour west of the Twin Cities with approximately 750 students district wide who attend one elementary school and one high school. More information regarding the district is available at www.kimball.k12.mn.us.
