Kimball Easter Egg-Stravaganza

Kimball's Easter Egg-Stravaganza was a success on April 9. The morning kicked-off with a Family Fun Run on the Kimball Track. Over 60 youth runners participated in the event. Maylee Decker, a kindergarten student at Kimball elementary, placed 1st in the initial race (ages 0-5), while Bo Meyer, a 3rd grader at Kimball elementary, earned top honors in the second race (ages 6-11).

After the race, over 125 children took part in the Kimball Easter Egg Hunt on the varsity football field. The Easter Bunny and children enjoyed hunting down over 1,600 eggs.

The morning concluded with an Easter Carnival in the Kimball High School Wirth Gym. Over 160 children enjoyed inflatables, carnival games, raffle prizes, writing letters to the Easter Bunny and posing for photos with the Easter Bunny.

Thank you to the following entities who helped make this special event possible: Traut Companies for donating the bottled water for our racers, Kimball Community Ed for providing the runners with a  medal and treats after the race, Coborn's for donating candy, Kimball Chamber and Hendrick's Bus Company for donating candy for the Easter eggs, Kimball Christian Church for donating Easter eggs and putting on the Carnival, and to members of the Kimball Area Community Education Advisory Council who volunteered their time to work at the event. Teamwork works.
