Congratulations to Kimball’s senior post, Jed Spaulding, who surpassed 1,000 career rebounds at Sauk Centre on Feb. 17. Entering the non-conference tilt, Spaulding needed 5 rebounds to reach this unprecedented milestone. Spaulding tallied 10 points and 7 rebounds in the tough 47-63 loss. The Cubs will look to bounce back as they head to Spectrum tomorrow night for a contest against the Sting. Game time is pending. #KimballProud #KimballHoops









This message is an update to the message sent earlier this evening. Kimball Area Public Schools will remain closed and moving to e-learning tomorrow, Tuesday Feburary 18th and Cubs Club will remain closed. The change from earlier is High School practices for Varsity and Junior Varsity activities will be held tomorrow starting after 3:00 PM. There will be no Junior High Boys basketball practice and no after school Community Ed activities. Boys basketball will play at Spectrum and Girls basketball will play at Holdingford tomorrow night.

Due to the extremely cold weather arriving tonight and tomorrow, Kimball Area Public Schools will be closed and moving to ELearning tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18th. Cubs club will be closed and all after-school activities are cancelled.

There are no youth basketball practices tonight, Feb. 17, due to the holiday. Practices will resume on Feb. 20. Go Cubs!

Congratulations to the Kimball 5th/6th grade girls' basketball team who won 1st place at the Holdingford tourney on Feb. 15. Kimball Junior Cubs Basketball players in grades K-1 showcased their skills during halftime of the varsity game on Feb. 14. The Cubs fell short on Senior Night to Holdingford, 68-86. Kimball C-squad earned a big win over the Huskers, 51-33, while the JV team had a big come-from-behind victory, 74-70. Way to go Cubs! #KimballHoops #KimballCommunityEd

Senior Night is slated for tonight, Feb. 14, as the Kimball boys' basketball squads host Holdingford in CMC action. The junior varsity and C-squad games will tip off at 5:30 pm in the North and Wirth Gyms, with the varsity tilt to follow at 7:00 pm in the Wirth Gym. Hope Kuechle broke the Kimball single season assist record last night, when she passed to Isabelle Schmitz for a three point field goal in the first half giving her 165 assists on the season, breaking the old mark of 164 by Melanie (Marquardt) Knaus during the 2001-2002 season.


Kimball girls' basketball had a successful night against Maple Lake in front of a large crowd on Parent's Night. The Cubs JV/C-squad cruised past the Irish, 52-32, while the Cubs varsity squad upended the CMC rival, 73-37. Junior Cubs BB players in grades 2-6 showcased their skills at halftime as well.
