Kimball Youth Wrestling had 62 students in Preschool-6th grade participate in its 2022-23 winter season. Congratulations to all of our youth wrestlers, including six wrestlers who competed in the Northland Youth Wrestling Association Regions in New London-Spicer on March 25. Those six wrestlers included: Garret Rosenow - 4th place (Qualified for MN State Invite Tourney), Luke Fischer - 2nd place (Advanced to MN State Tourney), Eli Looman- 6th place – (Advanced to MN State Invite Tourney), Miles Looman - 5th place – (Advanced to MN State Invite Tourney), Kellen Landwehr and Ivan Cook. At the Jaycees State competition in Albany on March 26, Eli and Miles Looman placed 1st and 3rd overall, while Ivan Cook and Kellen Landehr each took home 1st place honors, respectively. The winter season wrapped up this past weekend at the National Youth Wrestling Association (NYWA) Minnesota State Invitational for youth individuals and teams in Rochester, MN. Kimball was represented by three grapplers at the event, including: Luke Fischer, Eli Looman and Miles Looman. Thank you to all of our volunteer coaches this winter as well.
