It was a tale of two halves as the Kimball boy's basketball squad found themselves trailing Royalton by 15 points at halftime, 23-38. Led by senior post Bryant Knaus with a game-high 25 points, the Cubs chipped away at the Royals lead and evened the score at 44 with under 8 minutes left in the game. Kimball regained the lead following an old fashioned 3-point play by senior guard Owen Mortenson, giving the Cubs the 50-49 advantage with just over 5 minutes left in regulation. The Cubs never looked back after erasing the halftime deficit, holding on for a thrilling 67-52 CMC victory. Kimball’s JV team cruised to a 70-51 win while the C-squad was edged by the Royals, 37-46. Way to Cubs! #KimballHoops
