
Kimball Robotics is excited to host its 8th Annual Super Mega Tournament on Jan. 27 at the Kimball Area High School. The Cubs have 128 teams registered in grades 4-12 for this special event, which makes it the largest single-day robotics event in the state of Minnesota during the school year. Kimball Cubs earned two big conference wins on the road at Holdingford on Jan. 23. Bryant Knaus led all scorers in the varsity stint as the Cubs upended the Huskers 62-50. In the JV contest, the Cubs erased a 12-point deficit in the second half as Devin Gruba inked a career-high 37 points. Trailing by 2 points with 3.9 seconds remaining, Andray Stang drilled a last-second 3 pointer to seal the Cubs one-point thrilling victory, 72-71. Way to go Cubs! #KimballHoops

Kimball hosted its 45th Annual Youth Wrestling Tournament on Jan. 20-21. The 9-team tourney on Jan. 20 featured 176 wrestlers in grades PK-6, while the individual competitions on Jan. 21 showcased 354 grapplers. Rep Lisa Demuth from District 13A visited Kimball Area High School on Jan 9. She toured the building, visited classrooms, and spoke with students representing each grade level. She also assisted two 6th graders in leading the morning Pledge of Allegiance.
