Trap Shooting takes 2nd place at the State Tournament!
Congratulations to the Kimball FFA Trap Shooting Varsity Team that took 2nd place at the State Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 30 in Marshall with a score of 206. Team members consisted of William Serbus, Jonny Serbus, Tayler Verhey, Tyler Wylie and Davis Burg, out of 66 teams Kimball snagged the 2nd place spot.
This is the 2nd year the Varsity team has made it to the State Tournament, last year they placed 22nd.
Individually Kimball also had 2 individuals place in the top 20 out of 281 shooters. William Serbus placed 16th with a score of 43 out of 50 and Tayler Verhey took home the 1st place CHAMPIONSHIP spot with a score of 48 out of 50! Congratulations Tayler and William.
Tyler Wylie shot a perfect 25, and was the only perfect for the day! Way to go Tyler!
Kimball B team placed 50th out of 66. Team members consisted of Austin Decknatel, Jackie Merten and Hunter Orbeck.

Pickleball League through Kimball Area Community Education will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 6-8 pm in the Wirth Gym at the high school. Park in the south lot and enter Door #10. Kimball Area Early Childhood Education hosted its first annual Fall Festival on Sept. 29. More than 100 guests enjoyed carnival games, face painting, art work, a meal and treats. Attention all youth football players in grades K-4. Due to the anticipated inclement weather rolling in, tonight's varsity football game has been moved up to a 6:00 pm start time. Please arrive at the varsity football field by 5:45 pm and we still plan for players in K-4 to showcase their skills at halftime. Youth players will still be called at the 6:00 minute mark of the 2nd quarter to line up under the scoreboard on the south end of the field. Wear your youth football shirt. Go Cubs!
