Dear Kimball Area Public Schools Parents, Staff and Families,
We are excited to share that our Kimball Cubs Football Team is headed to “THE BANK!” The game will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, with kickoff at 9:00 a.m.
Key Information for the Day:
School will be closed for the day on Friday, November 15th to allow school district staff and students to attend the game. This includes Cubs Club. Our school is offering a fan bus(s) to students in grades 7-12. A minimum of 30 students must be signed up by 3:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday, November 12th for the fan bus(s) to run. The cost to ride the bus is $20. Cash is preferred for riding the fan bus. If a check is sent please have it made payable to Kimball Area High School. State Tournament Tickets must be purchased in advance for students riding the fan bus and are required to board the bus. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, November 12th at 10:00 am and must be purchased online at https://www.ticketmaster.com/us-bank-stadium-tickets-minneapolis/venue/49284. No paper tickets are allowed. Those purchasing tickets must have a device to upload their ticket to (i.e. cell phone). Tickets are $16 for adults and $10 for students. A copy of the State Football spectator Guide is attached to this message.
• Live Stream will be available for those not able to attend. This information will be shared once available.
• Those who will be looking to eat at US Bank Stadium will need to so with a credit/debit card as cash is not accepted.
• Travel Details: Buses will depart at approximately 7:00 a.m. and are expected to return around 2:00 p.m.
We will share other information as it becomes available.
This game time is earlier than usual, and we appreciate your understanding and support. We’re thrilled to see our community come together to back our Cubs as they compete in this important game.

Kimball Schools and SFE will once again be hosting a Thanksgiving meal at each building during student lunch times. The elementary lunch will be on Tuesday, November 19 and the high school lunch will be on Thursday, November 21. Adult tickets are $5 at the door. See the flyer for more details.

A friendly reminder that the Kimball Area Junior Olympic Volleyball Team Placement practice for players in 6th-10th grade is today (Nov. 10) from 3-5 pm at the high school. The Boys are Headed to US Bank!!!! 5AA Champion Kimball (#1 seed) beat Section 7AA Champion Moose Lake/Willow River (#4 seed), 38-0 in the State Quarterfinals, now advance to State Semifinals where they will battle a tough Jackson County Central (3AA) Team on Friday, Nov. 15 at 9:00am at the US Bank Stadium. Kimball Area Youth Travel Basketball for girls (grades 4-6) and boys (grades 3-6) begins tonight, Nov. 4, from 6-8 pm at the high school. The parent meeting is scheduled at 6:00 pm in the Wirth Gym (park in the south lot and enter door #10). Practices for all youth travel teams will take place in the high school gyms after the meeting until 8 pm. Please bring a water bottle, dry shoes and practice clothes for your child's practice. The 2024 EV-W-K Cross Country banquet was held on Nov. 3 in Kimball. Congrats to all of the runners, especially senior Henry Lemke who finished 10th at the State Class AA Championships on Nov. 2, earning All-State honors by crossing the finish line at 16:04.6. Lemke finished his prep career as a five-time State qualifier and three-time All-State runner. Kimball had four seniors run this year: Jordyn Theis, Maleah Loch, Elaina Fink and Holly Truenow. The Cubs also had seven athletes earn ALL-CMC Acedemic honors by earning a 3.75 GPA or higher. Jordyn Theis and Henry Lemke were voted by their teammates for the P.R.I.D.E. award (Personal Responsibility In Daily Excellence). The MVP honors were awarded to Lemke and 8th grade runner Miley Kuechle. Way to go runners! #KimballProud








Kimball receives the #1 seed for the North, for the Class AA State Quarterfinals. We will play Moose Lake Willow River (#4 seed) in Brainerd on Fri., Nov 8 at 7:00. More info to come out next week! Let's do this!!!!!!!


Heading to STATE!!!! Kimball defeated Holdingford 26-20 for the Section 5-2A Championship and are State Bound for the first time since 1991!!! The Cubs are now 10-0!

Kimball Elementary School will be hosting a Veteran's Day Program to honor all current and past military members on Nov. 11 at 9:00 am in the elementary gymnasium. If you have any pictures of Veterans that have served in any of the 7 branches of the service, we would like to put a slide show together commemorating them. The picture can be sent in either digital format via email to joel.timmerman@kimball.k12.mn.us or an actual photo sent to the elementary office. All photos will be scanned and returned. Please provide the name of the service member and relationship to Kimball school students or staff. Also, any current or past military members attending will be recognized during the program.
