Kimball 8th grade boys fell short with a loss against EVW on Friday, with a final score of 5-4. The team played really well and had a strong showing on offense and defense despite the loss.

Kimball's junior varsity softball team had a successful day at the HLWW tournament on May 9, sweeping all three games on the diamond. The Cubs defeated Olgivie (12-2), HLWW (6-5) and Mille Lacs (28-1). Pitchers Addi Johnson (8th grade) and Abby Maus (7th grade) had strong outings from the circle. Aggressive team offense and solid defense led the Cubs to three non-conference victories. Way to go Cubs! #KimballSoftball
Kimball Baseball came from behind to defeat Sauk Centre by a score of 6-3 on May 8. Senior Andray Stang pitched a complete game and struck out 8 Mainstreeters in the non-conference victory. Senior Tate Winter hit a 2-run blast to put the Cubs on the board in the top of the 5th. Kimball went on to score 4 unanswered runs to earn the road win. The Cubs junior varsity squad cruised past Sauk Centre, 10-2, to earn the Kimball sweep. Way to go Cubs! #KimballBaseball

Our fourth graders had an unforgettable field trip to Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center! Students explored nature, discovered local wildlife, and participated in hands-on environmental learning activities. From hiking the trails to learning about ecosystems and conservation, it was a day full of curiosity, teamwork, and outdoor fun!

The 2026 Dessert Dash was held on May 6 at Kimball Area High School. The scholarship recipients brought their own dessert to be auctioned off by the highest bidding table. Our Dessert Dash raised more than $3,300 for next year's scholarship recipients. We awarded $39,700 to this year's graduating class!!! Thank you to all of our community donors. This evening would not be possible without your support!! Kimball Area Fine Arts is excited to host its spring concert and Art Show on Monday, May 11. The junior high band and choir will perform at 6:00 pm in the Wirth Gym. After a brief intermission, the senior high choir, jazz band and varsity band will perform, starting at 7:30 pm. There will be concessions and a raffle available at the event as well.
