The Kimball Varsity 2 team received the spirit award at the knowledge bowl tournament Saturday hosted by Foley high school. The Spirit award is a new award this year, that is given to teams chosen by coaches during the course of the meet. They choose teams based on the ideas of knowledge bowl, The team should be positive, supportive, energetic, respectful, and of course knowledgeable. Congratulations!

Students in grades 5-8 were nominated to attend the SPARK STEM Conference at St. Cloud State University on January 4th. They made solar homes, held snakes, learned about cryogenics, learned some of the physics behind yoyos, made ice cream, and discovered animal adaptations to deal with the cold.

133: William Serbus. William pinned 3 opponents and lost one match 2-5 to Foley.
139: Mark Schiefelbein, Mark pinned both his opponents and got 1 bye.
Both William and Mark will wrestle day 2 (Friday 12/29), placing no matter what!
