Congratulations to the Kimball Area IQ Robotics Team 55353-B who tied for 2nd place overall at the ROCORI tourney on Feb. 17. The Cubs also secured the Design Award, which stamped their ticket to the upcoming State Championships in St. Cloud on March 2. All five Kimball Area elementary teams have now qualified for State. Thank you to the Kimball Sports Booster Club who partnered with Kimball Area Community Ed to host the Highway 55 League games on Feb. 17. Kimball youth basketball teams in grades 4-6 played well, including two big wins over ACGC and NLS for the Kimball 4th grade boy's squad.
Open Gym resumes on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 6-8 pm at the Kimball Area High School. Park in the south lot and enter door #10. Admission is $3 per person or $5 for two family members. The batting cage will be up in the North Gym for softball practice as well. #KimballCommunityEd

The 22nd Annual Kimball Alumni Basketball Tournament was a success on Feb. 10. Team 2005-2007 defended their title with a 41-35 victory over Team 2008-2012 in the Championship game. It was great to have the Kimball alumni back in the gym. #OnceACubAlwaysACub

The 4th Annual Kimball Area ECFE Sweetheart Dance was a success on Feb. 9. Nearly 200 community members enjoyed dancing, snacks, crafts, games and raffle baskets. Thank you to our NHS volunteer students and Kimball staff members for helping with this successful event. A special thank you to the local businesses who donated raffle prizes, Sam's Club for donating cookies and Traut Water for providing bottled water. All proceeds will go towards a future Preschool playground at the elementary school. A sweet time was had by all. #KimballECFE #KimballCommunityEd
