Rep Lisa Demuth from District 13A visited Kimball Area High School on Jan 9. She toured the building, visited classrooms, and spoke with students representing each grade level. She also assisted two 6th graders in leading the morning Pledge of Allegiance.

The Kimball Varsity 2 team received the spirit award at the knowledge bowl tournament Saturday hosted by Foley high school. The Spirit award is a new award this year, that is given to teams chosen by coaches during the course of the meet. They choose teams based on the ideas of knowledge bowl, The team should be positive, supportive, energetic, respectful, and of course knowledgeable. Congratulations!

Students in grades 5-8 were nominated to attend the SPARK STEM Conference at St. Cloud State University on January 4th. They made solar homes, held snakes, learned about cryogenics, learned some of the physics behind yoyos, made ice cream, and discovered animal adaptations to deal with the cold.
