Girls Golf is CMC Champions! Avery Maus is receiving All Conference as an individual. The Girls played at Osakis last week where Avery placed 2nd with 52, and Olivia Schneider placed 3rd with 53. The girls also traveled to BBE where Avery placed 3rd with 47, and Olivia placed 10th with 57. Great Job Ladies, Go Cubs!
KIMBALL AREA CUBS 3 OSAKIS SIVLERSTREAKS 2
(Tuesday May 31st/Section 6AA Section playoffs)
The Cubs defeated their Section 6AA foe the Silverstreaks, backed by eight hits, including two doubles and a triple and good “D”. The Cubs starting pitcher Skylor Gruba threw a complete game to earn the win. He gave up nine hits, two runs, one walk and he recorded five strikeouts.
The Cubs offense was led by Cody Leither, he went 1-for-4 with a triple for a RBI and lefty Gavin Winter went 2-for-3 for a RBI. Matt Young went 1-for-3 with a double and he scored two runs and Clay Faber went 1-for-3 with a double and he scored a run. Ace Meyer went 2-for-3 and Ashton Hanan earned a walk.

Senior picture is from the last home regular season game (a win over Maple Lake) - Cody Leither, Matthew Young, Ace Meyer, Skylor Gruba, Devin Waldorf, and Shuggs Hanan.
They finished the regular season with a 13-6 record - second place in the Central Minnesota Conference behind Paynesville. Kimball will play on Monday, May 30 at 5:00p vs. Osakis. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $5 for students.

The Cubs from the CMC defeated their Wright County Conference rivals the Cardinals, backed by six timely hits, including a double. The Cubs come from behind with two big runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead. Their starting pitcher Skylor Gruba threw a complete game to earn the win, he gave up seven hits, four runs, two walks and he recorded four strikeouts.
The Cubs offense was led by Devin Waldorf, he went 1-for-3 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Cody Leither went 1-for-4 for a RBI and Ashton Hanan went 1-for-4. Hank Meyer and Skylor Gruba both went 1-for-3 for a RBI and each scored a run. Cody Faber went 1-for-3 and he scored a run and Gavin Winter was credited for a RBI and he scored a run. Go Cubs!

The Girls team won the Section 5A Sub Section West meet, the Boys took 4th place. 12 boys and 19 girls will be advancing to sections at St. John's on June 1 starting at 10:30. Tickets to the event: https://www.vancoevents.com/BGEE
We had lots of school records broke again including: Boys 4x100 (44.57), Boys 4x200 (1:32.88), Girls 4x200 (1:47.37) and 800m (2:21.05). Great job cubs

Second grade had career day today. Parents and staff members talked with students about their careers and the importance of working hard at school.
Awards were given to our Speech letterwinners and to Annah Winter, the 2021-22 School Board Student representative. Three gift cards were awarded to randomly selected students who had ZERO unexcused absences throughout the year. Congratulations!
