Kimball Area Robotics will hold its season kick-off camp next Tuesday, August 12, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at the high school. This free camp is for any student entering grades 6-12 who is interested in joining VEX VRC robotics. If you are interested in joining robotics this is a great way to check out the program. Kimball Area ECFE hosted a Big Truck event on August 6 at the elementary. Local families and community members enjoyed sitting in and/or looking at vehicles from A.M. Maus & Son, Arnold’s, the City of Kimball, Officer Theisen with his Sheriff car, a local race car, a Kimball fire truck, the Watkins ambulance and a school bus. Thank you to the local entities who participated and to the families who attended. It was a great event to kick-off the upcoming school year and celebrate Kimball Days. #KimballECFE

Congrats to the Kimball 10U Blue softball team that finished 4th in the Crow River season-ending tourney on August 3. The Cubs defeated Brownton in the first game 10-0, then lost a close second game to Hutchinson Gold 4-6, and completed the day in the third place game, losing a heartbreaker to Hutchinson Black 2-3. Kimball's 12U softball squad completed its action-packed summer season with a 2nd place finish in the Crow River tourney on August 2. The Cubs defeated EV-W White team 5-1 and Hutchinson 7-2 before coming up short in the Championship game against Norwood Young America, 0-3. Kimball 12U played over 50 games this summer and made huge improvements on the diamond. Way to go Cubs! #KimballCommunityEd

Kimball's 10U White softball team finished its summer season in 6th place (bronze division) at the Crow River season-ending tourney on August 2. The Cubs lost to Watertown 0-11, beat Litchfield 11-3, and lost to Central Lakes Maroon 7-5 in the consolation tilt. Way to go Cubs!

Kimball Area’s Maine Prairie Theater Company, in partnership with Kimball Area Community Education, is set to perform its summer community theater performance of “Legally Blonde – The Musical," this weekend!

Opening weekend shows are slated for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, and Saturday, Aug. 2. The second weekend of performances are set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8, and at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, to wrap up the Kimball Days weekend celebrations. All shows will be held in the cafetorium at the Kimball Area High School.

Kimball 18U Softball earned the 2025 Tier 2 State Championship on July 27. The Cubs cruised through the two-day State tourney, going 4-0 with wins over Cottage Grove (3-0), Hastings (9-3), Annandale Black (9-1) and Annandale Black (10-0) in the championship game.
